Energy Poverty
FEANTSA’s Energy Poverty team works to ensure the green transition benefits the most vulnerable households — those on the lowest incomes, living in unfit homes, and struggling with energy costs. We monitor EU legislation on housing renovation and energy policy, advocating for measures that deliver social fairness, protect low-income households, and ensure no one is left behind in the transition to a fairer and sustainable future.
We also focus on the buildings of our members, which are often low-performing and frequently overlooked by public subsidies and renovation policies.
Currently, Anna follows the MFF legislation and National Building Renovation Plans, while Eva works on ETS2 and the Social Climate Fund. Together, they also track other key initiatives, including the Affordable Housing Plan, Citizens Energy Package, and related EU policy developments.
