Smiles Without Shelter

This FEANTSA report explores the often-overlooked connection between oral health and homelessness. Drawing on research, policy analysis, and evidence from across Europe, the report highlights how barriers to dental care contribute not only to poor health outcomes, but also to stigma, social exclusion and reduced opportunities for employment and housing stability. It examines gaps in health systems and EU policy frameworks and sets out recommendations to make oral healthcare more accessible, affordable, and inclusive for people experiencing homelessness.
