European Observatory on Homelessness Research Club
The next Research Club meeting will take place on 25 September, 2026 from 10:30 to 12:00 (CEST) / 9:30 to 11:00 (Lisbon time). The meeting is a hybrid meeting and also serves as the onsite seminar 14 in the European Research Conference on Homelessness in Lisbon. Senior researchers from the European Observatory on Homelessness will support the session: Nóra Teller, HU; Koen Hermans, BE; and Nicholas Pleace, UK. The meeting brings together PhD candidates, early-career researchers and those new to homelessness research. Participants will have the opportunity to exchange experiences and research interests, build connections with peers, discuss future collaboration within the Club, and contribute to shaping its activities for the coming year. The EOH Research Club is an initiative for early-stage researchers studying homelessness across Europe. This series of networking events will take place four times a year starting from 2025, offering a platform to connect, exchange insights, and receive advice and support from other fellow researchers.
Objectives:
- Build a supportive network of early-stage researchers in the field of homelessness.
Discuss updates on European research on homelessness
Provide a space for collaboration, discussion and planning for possible joint research projects and co-publications
Definition of early-stage researcher:
- Individuals currently pursuing a PhD or within three years of completing their doctoral studies.
- Senior researchers, experts, or master’s students considering initiating research on homelessness
