NGOs working with homeless people and/or on the issue of homelessness based in the EU, the UK, or an EFTA country.

Membership Eligibility

To become a member of FEANTSA, applicants need to fulfil the following criteria: 

  • to be a non-governmental organisation
  • to be working with homeless people and/or on the issue of homelessness
  • to be based in one of the EU Member States, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Iceland, Norway or Lichtenstein

Rights and Benefits

FEANTSA governance is reserved exclusively to Members, meaning that they have voting rights at the General Assembly and can be elected to the statutory bodies such as the Administrative Council and the Executive Committee. 

Members get travel and accommodation costs reimbursed for one delegate to the General Assembly, which often takes place a day before the FEANTSA Forum. 

Members receive full access to the members-only area of the FEANTSA website for official FEANTSA documents or to find lobbying contacts. 

Members can participate in the annual work programme in the following ways: 

  • contribute articles to thematic newsletters, the Flash or the Link
  • participate in events and thematic clusters
  • get involved in EU projects
  • joint lobbying on relevant EU policies and programmes
  • contribute to FEANTSA publications
  • benefit from academic knowledge and scientific studies on the topic of homelessness and through research from the European Observatory on Homelessness 

Members can participate in the thematic work clusters including: 

  • Housing
  • Health
  • Housing Rights
  • Youth
  • Women's Homelessness
  • Migration
  • Participation 

Members are eligible for a reduced cost to join the Housing First Europe Hub, as FEANTSA members can join as Associates with a 50 percent reduction in the fee.
