At the end of October NGOs in Bratislava vaccinated 55 people who would otherwise have had no access to health care. Those who attended were vaccinated against hepatitis A and B and flu. Homeless people in Slovakia can have difficulties accessing health care if they don’t have an ID card, health insurance or the means to pay for health care. The organisations Equita, Proti Prúdu (Against the Stream), Kres?ania v Meste (Christians in the City), Vagus and Odyseus said they had launched talks with the Health Ministry about legislative changes needed to ensure full health care is available to everybody.
