The time children have spent in temporary accommodation in Scotland has risen by 20% in the last two years, and in response to this rise the Scottish Government has announced that it is to impose a limit of one week for children and pregnant women to stay in temporary accommodation. This adds to existing strong housing rights in Scotland, but will require an increase in the rate of housebuilding for implementation to be successful. Read more on the story here.
