FEANTSA Member, Focus Ireland has published a new report, Young Families in the Homeless Crisis: Challenges and Solutions, based on a study which aimed to understand the housing and support needs of young parents. Young families that become homeless face acute problems in maintaining their family life and protecting their children in the context of living in emergency accommodation and can encounter additional difficulties when attempting to move on into permanent accommodation.

The report makes a number of recommendations to local and national authorities including policy-makers, housing providers and homelessness service providers.
