The Housing First for Families Project in Brno, Czechia, has met its goals for retention of housing among its beneficiaries. The experimental project is responsible for housing 50 families throughout the city and has already achieved its goal of an 80% retention rate among those who have signed onto housing agreements.

As a result of the success of the project, Housing First for Families will be submitting plans to the city council for a long-term expansion of the programme with the aim of eradicating homelessness among families within a few years’ time.

In 2017, Housing First for Families were presented the FEANTSA Award for Best Emergency Housing Solution funded by the EU. For more information on the project, see here.
