French President Emmanuel Macron presented his Housing Plan in Toulouse on September 11, 2017. The President announced he will revisit public policies that provide temporary shelter for homeless people. Instead, Macron wishes to develop a Housing First strategy. The goal of his Housing Plan is ensuring a stable housing situation for 100 000 French citizens. Homelessness NGOs support Macron's call for a Housing First strategy, but remain sceptical.
