The Welsh government has launched both an Action Plan to reduce rough sleeping and a policy document outlining how Housing First will be taken forward across Wales. The Action Plan has been co-developed with FEANTSA member, Shelter Cymru, and will see councils receiving grant funding of £2.8m in 2018/19 to embed homelessness prevention best practice models which will help to reduce rough sleeping, prevent youth homelessness, improve access to the private rented sector and strengthen services for people with mental health and substance misuse problems.
