Youth Collaboration - Online Training

4 & 5 April - 15.00 - 17.30 Central European Time

Youth Collaboration is the process of partnering with young people in the design and delivery of services to meet the needs of youth. Young people do not become effective and valuable partners in a vaccum, it requires a thought out process by organisations. Ending youth homelessness requires services that meet the needs of young people, and the most effective way to address these needs is through partnering with young people.

The objectives of this training are to:

  • Understand why youth collaboration, and the voices of young is important to include in the design of homeless services.
  • Identify tools and means of including youth voices
  • Identify and manage challenges around identifying the needs of youth experiencing homelessness
  • Provide insights into examples of effective youth participation
  • Provide a space for participants to share their experiences or anticipated challenges around including the voices of youth in services design and delivery.

The first afternoon of the training will take an international approach with practices from the United States and Canada, while the second day will have a stronger focus on European practices.

Target Group:
This training is designed for homeless services which work with youth. Those participating will be expected to actively participate, there will be space for questions and to share in smaller breakout sessions.
