The third webinar in our series will address the often overlooked issue of rural homelessness, exploring its realities and strategies to combat it.

Martin Wagener (UCLouvain, Belgium) will use the example of rural Belgium and the latest data on the homeless count to illustrate the diverse situations and profiles of people experiencing homelessness in rural areas.

Jason Garrett (Shelter Dorset, England) and Rory Weal (Chair of the Rural Homelessness Counts coalition, England) will discuss the specific needs regarding social support and local and national public policies based on observations in England and transferable elsewhere in Europe.

Donna Young, Coordinator of Rural Housing Scotland, will speak on behalf of the European Rural Communties Alliance (ERCA) to react on the previous presentations.

Mátyás Szabó (DG Agriculture & Rural Development, European Commission) will conclude the webinar by responding to the speakers' presentations and sharing insights into his unit's efforts to promote better social inclusion in rural areas across Europe.
