Irish newspaper The Journal conducted a Fact Check about the recent statements of Leo Varadkar, Ireland's Taoiseach, on homelessness. The Journal points out two important issues. First of all, homelessness is not comparable across European countries. Secondly, when compared to countries it can be compared to, Ireland has a very high level of homelessness.  Research by Trinity College Dublin professor Eoin found that Ireland has significantly higher number of homeless people when compared to Norway and Finland.
