The French organisation Collectif Les Morts de la Rue (CMDR) has released a report on the mortality among homeless people in France between 2012 and 2016. The report offers an estimation of the numbers of mortality among homeless people and a description of the reasons of death. In this report, CMDR focuses especially on suicide, family bonds and housing solutions. 

In 2016, 500 homeless people died. On average, they spent 10 years without a home. More than 40% of them died in a public place. According to CMDR, homeless people die earlier than people with a home. The organisation denounces the reasons of death of homeless people.
