The British government has been criticised for preventing those without a permanent home from registering to vote online. They are instead required to print out a “local connection” form and return it to their local council. For many who are homeless, this is an impossibility. It is thought that this current rule affects over 400,000 predominantly young and poor people. The Association of Electoral Administrators will protest to the Cabinet Office. Click here to read more.
