On International Women’s Day, Focus Ireland announced a 96% increase of women in Ireland in the last 2 years. Shocking statistics show that numbers have nearly doubled between January 2015 and the beginning of 2017. The number of homeless children have also doubled for the same period. In January 2015 there were 1,017 women homeless but by January this year this leapt to just under 2,000, while the number of homeless children more than doubled from 865 to 2,407.
