Cristina Avonto, president of fio.PSD, has highlighted the fact that there would be no crisis of homeless people freezing to death if effective homelessness policies had been implemented earlier in the year. It is important to continue the focus on ending homelessness during warm weather, through effective policies, such as Housing First to reduce acute homelessness. fio.PSD is fighting to make sure that homeless people are included in the debate on a guaranteed minimum income in Italy, and that those living in extreme poverty are not left out of social policy creation.
